New year, new logic - a different approach to resolutions

Are you making any resolutions for 2024?

Did you make any for 2023 and did any of those stick?

This year, instead of making sweeping declarations, let's try a kinder, softer approach.

Think about how you want to spend your time in 2024 and do those things, even if it's just for a few moments on New Years Day. By consciously spending time doing the things you desire, you are setting the intentions for 2024.

Want to read more in 2024? Challenge yourself to spend just one minute reading.

Do you desire to spend more time outside? Go outside even if it's not the best weather.

Want to learn a new language? Look up just one new word.

Thinking about getting organized? Choose a drawer or cabinet and set a timer for one minute to go through those items.

Hoping to travel in 2024? Make a list of your favorite destinations.

Don't get hung up on the details. Only spend a few minutes on each item and move on.

These are the things I'll be doing on New Years Day:

-setting a morning intention

-taking a walk outside

-knitting

-texting a friend

-meal planning

What are you hoping for in 2024?

How can you incorporate that, in some small way, on New Years Day?
